Interact is full of features which aid presentations and teaching when using an interactive touch screen. Below is a list of the main features

Annotation Tools

The Annotation tools are specific icons allowing you to write notes, highlight key facts, circle important points and emphasise important areas onto your lessons or presentations. You can annotate over almost anything including webpages, images, word documents, presentations, programs and your desktop.

Toolbox

The Teachers Tools (or, in the business version of Interact, the Toolbox) contains a range of tools to aid teaching or presentations. The Teachers Tools contain items such as an on-screen protractor, calculator and set backgrounds. The backgrounds contains numerous items including the periodic table, world maps and several sport fields to plan team tactics.

Scrap Book

The Scrap Book is a tool to take screen shots or to save images to be used later. It has been designed to that everything can be created and saved using a touch screen input. The images are copied into the scrapbook and can be pasted into other applications, e.g. microsoft word.

Handwriting Recognition

Interact uses an adaptation of MyScript from Vision Objects for handwriting recognition. On starting MyScript the handwriting recognition window will appear. The window may be positioned anywhere on screen. Text may be input by writing naturally in either printed form or cursively or even a combination of the two. Handwriting recognition may be used whenever normal keyboard input is expected (e.g. entering text into text objects).

Resources Files

This icon opens a wide range of curriculum based text and graphic resources which can be placed onto the screen or into documents. Items such as clipart demonstrating river formations for Geography will aid the teaching process.

This icon will bring up a user guide with detailed explanation on how to use interact along with a website reference for updates and support email addresses.
